Model preview
The Ortodoncja program allows you to preview 3D models.
There are two ways to open the 3D model preview window.
- The first way is to enter through the patient card. To do this, simply double-click the rotating thumbnail of 3D models. This will automatically load these models and open a new window with a preview of 3D models.
- The second way is to enter through the photo tab.
Using the second method, you can open one or two models at the same time.
OPENING MODELS FROM THE PICTURE TAB
In order to open the preview of 3D models through the photo tab, go to Photos.
Then find the file (s) of interest in the photo gallery.
OPENING ONE MODEL – to open one file with a 3D model just click on it twice. As a result, a new window will open with a preview of the 3D model.
OPENING THE JAW AND CHUCK MODEL SIMULTANEOUSLY – to open two files, hold the CTRL button on the computer keyboard and select the two files of interest to you, then release the key. As a result, both files in the gallery will be highlighted in blue. Hovering over selected files, click the right mouse button. This will bring up the taskbar from which we choose Preview.
3D MODEL VIEWER
The 3D models preview window starts automatically after selecting a specific 3D model.
Depending on how we opened the models, we will open accordingly:
- jaw model alone
- same model of harvest
- both models
Model preview enables accurate anazlia of 3D models in every perspective.
Rotations and movements of models take place in the same way as in the 3D model processing window.
- Right mouse button – allows moving the models up / down and right / left.
- “Scroll” – allows you to zoom in / out the model and rotate the model in all planes.
The view menu is also useful for moving models.
Selecting any button will position the models with a view of the selected plane.
Warning!
The position and setting of models in the model preview depends on how they were set when processing 3D models in the positioning tab.
In the case of an incorrectly positioned model, the functions in the view menu will not work properly. In order to improve the settings of the models, we invite you to familiarize yourself with the contents of the operating instructions section Photos-> Machining 3D models-> Positioning.
In addition, the following features are available in the preview window of 3D models:
- Models in view
- Cross-section
- Measurement Mode
VIEW MODELS
The Models option in the view is a preview of the list of opened models in the window. In addition, it allows you to set the degree of transparency of a given model, upload an additional model, and enable / disable the preview.
MODEL TRANSPARENCY
If you want to change the degree of translucency of the model, select the model you are interested in from the list of uploaded models, and then click 100%. As a result, a new scale bar will develop.
The more right the less transparent model. The more to the left, the more transparent the model.
SWITCHING ON / OFF THE PREVIEW
In the Models window in the view, in addition to the translucency level, you can enable / disable the preview of a given model.
To do this, select the “eye” button next to the translucency button. Clicking on it will turn off the preview of the model, and the button itself will change from black to gray.
The model can be switched on or off at any time.
ADDING A MODEL
Another function available in the Models window in the view is the ability to upload an additional model.
This option is especially useful when we opened the preview of only one model.
To add another model, click on the + symbol, which is available immediately below the list of uploaded models.
This will open a new window with a list of possible 3D models to upload.
After selecting the appropriate model and choosing the OK option, a new item with the selected model will appear in the list of uploaded models, and its preview will be activated immediately.
CROSS-SECTION
This option is available only when one model is enabled.
WARNING!
If two or more models are loaded in the preview, it will not be possible to make a cross-section.
In order to start the cross-section, you should remove from the list of uploaded models those models that we do not need at the moment and leave only the one in which we want to make the cross-section. (To delete, press the right model from the list with the right button, a window will open with the Delete option).
To start the cross-section, use the Cross-section button in the upper right corner of the program window.
As a result, new options will appear in the preview window of 3D models.
